It's amazing how far as a community we have come when it comes to sexual roles. Back then, there were only two gender roles in the gay community. The top, the 'man' and the bottom, the 'sissy' . Now we have so many roles and labels that it's can be downright confusing.
You got the power top, the oral top, the submissive top, the total top, the versatile top, the versatile bottom, the dyke bottom, the fully versatile, the oral bottom, the power bottom… etc. Everyday there is a new 'label'. You got feminine tops and masculine bottoms.
I classify myself as a fully versatile. I really didn't come to terms with that until recently. I just want a man, who I can have sex with. I often wonder if that's mostly the reason why there is a lot of infidelity and lonely ass men in this community. We have to work so freakin' hard just to find a man, who fits what we look for in a mate.
I am really not into labels. I know what I like and what I don't when it comes to sex but I am not my sexual role either. You won't ever hear me say 'All tops say this' or 'All bottoms do that'. I think it's kinda silly as everyone is different and unique.
Not to mention, you have guys, who won't even talk to the next person simply because that person might fit the definition of a __________. And they wonder why they can't find man..LOL.
Be open and honest about your sexuality and don't be afraid to have that conversation with whomever you dating. Just be you. Don't be ashame of who you are and what you like in the bedroom (or wherever else you have sex at). As long as you are not hurting anybody, it's all good with me.
