Rapper T.I. Don’t Care About Your Same-Sex Marriage!
Ever since President Obama announced that he supports same-sex marriage, people have been up in arms about it. Rapper Jay Z and actor Will Smith both stood by the president as many celebrities and public figures.
Rapper T.I. was asked how he felt about same-sex marriage..
“Just to speak honestly and being frank, I don’t care.”
“I think that if a matter doesn’t affect your daily life, you shouldn’t take a hard stand on it. If it’s not something that directly affects you, if it doesn’t affect you, what difference does it make to you what other people are doing with their lives?”
My thoughts exactly. I really don’t have much to say about gay marriage nor would I go out of my way to push the issue. I feel that I should be entitled to ALL of my basic rights as the next American should. Marriage Equality is only the icing on the cake.
It’s one thing if you don’t believe in same-sex marriages but to go out of your way and say that you wouldn’t vote for President Obama solely on that issue is stupid. Why is same-sex marriage such an issue with people (who claim to be heterosexual) anyway? It’s does not affect your personal life. It’s not your damn business.
I don’t see myself getting married to anyone but I do believe people should be protected. There are too many horror stories I could share of everyday good people (who are gay) who lost it all because they didn’t have the law to protect them. Your partner is dying and you can’t even see him ‘because you’re not family’. His family (who wasn’t didn’t approve of his ‘lifestyle’ and casted him out) decides to take all the two of you have accumulated in your relationship. They can literally take it all.
People think of gay marriage and automatically want to get ‘godly’ on the subject but yet they can’t even get it together in their own marriage (see infidelity, babies out-of-wedlock, adultery, etc.) They don’t see same-sex couples who have been in relationships for decades. People who pay their taxes. People who fight and die for this country. I could go on…
I plan to vote for President Obama and I feel that he has bigger fishes to fry. People still need decent jobs. Gas prices are still too damn high. Those should be the issues people should care about.
I am rambling but it just pisses me off…

Backstory of the video:
One of the biggest obstacles we face as gay men is infidelity. Let’s be honest with ourselves; GAY MEN CHEAT. I think it’s the natural testosterone combined with our mastery of the anonymous hookup. 50% of being gay is who we fuck. The word is homoSEXUAL and we take the SEXUAL part very seriously among gay men.
Having faced my own challenges in relationships (including those that come along with relationships lasting 2+ years) I’m always interested in how other couples or relationships develop and overcome these obstacles.
One concept I had become acquainted with and curious about was the polyamourus relationship: Multiple partners in a closed relationship.
Imagine when you hit that 2-year mark and your bf says “Hey babe let’s have a threesome!” (We’ve all been there) but, that threesome lasts a week then, a month, then six months until you move the guy in…
That’s exactly what this Chelsea trio has done something pretty similar to that (I’m not sure of the origins of their relationship)
This definitely isn’t normal. More people seem ok with the idea of a threesome for sex and nothing else. However, this non-traditional view does circumvent issues of infidelity and allows for multiple emotional connections to be shared and nurtured in a committed way.
